We are targeting a highly motivated Senior System Admin/DevOps Engineer to join a high-performance and innovative team. This person must be able to be a strong contributor with a high-quality mindset, adapt quickly to leverage emerging technologies, and utilize his/her demonstrable experience and dedication to ensure that our customers are delighted. The Senior System Admin/DevOps Engineer will be working closely with peers as part of an agile team, where collaboration is key.
 

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be responsible for billable client and internal consulting that encourages a more rapid release cycle with a continuous introduction of new features, continuous testing and continuous deployment. Additionally, you are responsible for system updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing end-user support. You will also be involved with project work, which will consist of designing and deploying services into both new and existing environments, using an agile software development methodology. This includes:

  • Providing production support and operation for a 24x7 system

  • Planning for, and working with the project management and solution teams to procure and manage development infrastructure such as workstations, servers, storage, network and data protection

  • Provisioning virtual machines and application software for team

  • Putting in place continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) process and tools to enable the agile team to deliver quality software

  • Developing scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment, and system and application management

  • Conducting system-level vulnerability security scans, hardening system and application platforms

  • Being a liaison with third-party software and hardware vendors and third party hosting providers to manage and resolve incidents and technical issues

  • Preparing and maintaining technical documentation

  • Managing and growing the DevOps practice and the ultimate success of the customer engagements/projects

  • Developing company capabilities and technical expertise in Agile development methods and digital and cloud technologies

  • Building broad internal practice around how applications and services are constructed using DevOps methodologies and tools

  • Supporting the Business Development team in helping to ensure success in selling the full portfolio of services using DevOps/Agile methods


What You Need:

  • Experience working closely with internal teams and clients to understand the process of designing and implementing enterprise-class solutions based on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security, and recoverability

  • Experience with the following technologies and applications:
    • Virtualization technologies such as VMWare ESX(i), OVirt/RHEV, Hyper-V, Xen, etc.
    • Cloud environments (Rackspace, AWS, Digital Ocean, etc.)
    • Windows Server (2003-2012) and Desktop Environments (XP – Win 10)
    • Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010/2013
    • Azure/Office365/Google Apps
    • Active Directory and Group Policy
    • TCP/IP, routing, pfSense, firewalls
    • SQL / MySQL / NoSQL
    • VOIP experience is an advantage
    • JIRA, ZenDesk, or other ticketing tools
  • Ability to pick up new skills and technologies quickly

  • Kentico, Sitecore, Veeva, or CMS experience preferred

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines preferred
