BlueModus Donates $500 to Support Suicide Prevention

AFSP logoAs part of its monthly Give Back campaign, BlueModus has made a $500 donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The foundation's primary mission is to prevent loss of life from suicide. They fund research, education, prevention, advocacy and survivor programs to assist those affected by this heartbreaking issue

AFSP is recognized as the leading organization for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, offering a wide array of programs that assist surviving family members and friends. As the largest private funder of suicide research in the United States, the Foundation also invests in educational initiatives, including an innovative new program aimed at helping high school students recognize depression in themselves and their classmates and to encourage help-seeking behavior. AFSP also recently completed work on a film and curriculum that trains teachers and other school personnel about suicide prevention. With expanding network of 56 local chapters nationwide, the foundation makes a significant impact towards the prevention of suicide.
