BlueModus Donates to Alzheimer's Association

This month, as part of its ongoing Giveback program, BlueModus has donated $500 toward the Alzheimer's Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

With a mission to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health, the BlueModus team felt this was an incredibly worthy cause.

"Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but we still lack highly effective treatments for it, " notes Executive Director of Account Services Nik Friedman TeBockhorst, "Along with so many people, I have seen close family members succumb to Alzheimer’s, and felt the heartache of watching their slow decline, a s well as the huge effort it took to support them while they strove to live with this disease. The Alzheimer’s Association is focused on finding a cure and providing support to communities, and I am proud to join BlueModus in supporting their mission."

Currently more than 5 million Americans live with Alzheimer's, and by 2050, this number could rise as high as 16 million. The Alzheimer’s Association works on a global, national and local level to provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. It is also the leading voice for advocacy of the disease, fighting for critical Alzheimer's research, prevention and care initiatives at the state and federal level. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure.

The Association envisions is a world without Alzheimer's. Learn more about how you can support this vision in becoming a reality, by visiting their organization's website at www.alz.org.
