Bacardi Limited is one of the largest premium spirits companies in the world. It produces, markets and distributes a variety of internationally recognized premium spirits. Its portfolio includes more than 200 brands and labels of rum, vodka, whisky, gin, vermouth and tequila products, among others, most of which are sold on a global basis.
The Problem
Bacardi faced an immense challenge in consolidating all of its brands’ online initiatives into a single, centrally-managed system. All of the brand initiatives were independently managed and globally enforcing standards was extremely difficult. Its existing technical and support infrastructures were not robust enough to handle the daily increase in complexity that this massive consolidation would bring.
The BlueModus Response
BlueModus worked with Bacardi to fully understand all of the requirements. This process proved to be quite complex, as over 200 applications and dozens of markets and agencies were involved. After fully capturing the issues and requirements at hand, BlueModus designed, built, and continues to maintain, the global hosting infrastructure for Bacardi. This new infrastructure allows Bacardi to centrally manage all of its initiatives.
Global data and content management systems were put into place to allow market teams to manage promotions and initiatives. A 24X7 support system was introduced, allowing markets and agencies from around the world to receive prompt and attentive support for their issues at all times.
All of this introduced significant improvements in security and stability, while adding cost efficiencies and increased ROI for Bacardi’s digital strategies.
