Each month BlueModus is pleased to administer a philanthropy project called, "BlueModus Gives Back." The aim of the project is to make a monthly cash donation to needy families, individuals, organizations, or causes nominated by one of our employees.
Washington Park Montessori school is the home of 60+ families that give their children the opportunity to embrace Montessori philosophy in choice, personal connection, and collaborative learning. The school is a nonprofit based organization and holds a “Silent Auction/Spring Benefit” every year that raises a large majority of the schools funding. The money brought in from the event allows for such things as continued teacher education, supplies for the classroom, functional equipment such as in classroom sinks and scholarship family funding. This year’s benefit will include an interactive and comedic dueling piano show, food from two New York style eclectic neighborhoods (as the theme is “New York, New York”) and will host over 50 silent auction items to be bid on by attendees, along with several live auction items and student art projects. The handmade student art projects have brought in the largest portion of proceeds at all the prior auctions.
Thanks to Blue Modus’ donation of $500, the discounted rate of pay for the dueling piano entertainment will be easily reached and everyone in attendance will be able to experience this unique style of comedy, music and fun. Most of the expense of the event itself is donated by local businesses so we are very thankful for the support of Blue Modus. Tickets to the Montessori School of Washington Park’s Spring Benefit at Jazz at Jacks on May 15th from 5-7:30pm can be purchased for $25 per person which will include food, entertainment, and admittance in to Jazz at Jacks that night for their nightly Jazz concert. Tickets are open to the public and can be purchased at the school located at 320 S. Sherman St. in Wash Park.
